SIBA published its first Annual Report in November 2009.
The following is the SIBA Annual Report for 2011. The Audited financial report together with a proxy form have been distributed to members by email on Fridat 21st October 2011. This is a very important year for the Association a we celebrate our first decade. It is a time to reflect on the successes we have achieved over the past ten years including:
1. Implementation of the Spatial Information Industry Action Agenda
2. Grant from the Australian Government to implement a working Spatial Interoperability Demonstration Project (over $1 million)
3. More that 50 submissions to parliamentary and agency inquiries across a wide cross section of issues
4. Recognition by the Australian Goverenment of our important contribution to water policy debate
5. Recognition by the popular press of the important of spatial information and technologies
6. Ingagement with the Australian Government on flood mapping policy
7. Close ties with Defence and Defence Primes
8. Support for both funding applications for the CRC for Spatial Information and for the establishment of 43P/L
9. Formation of a SIBA in New Zealand
